We accept most major credit and debit cards, Paypal, Google Pay, Apple Pay and Amazon Pay.
Can I change or cancel my order?
We process live orders as quickly as possible, so once you've placed it, we're typically unable to make adjustments to your shipping address or items. If you have any changes or cancellations, send us an email at email@example.com as soon as possible with the subject line "Changing my order" or "Cancelling my order", and we'll do our best to help before your order ships out.
Can my order be expedited?
Currently we offer standard shipping for free.
When will my order ship?
We usually ship orders within 1 business day, but may take up to 2-3 days given current COVID-19 conditions. We do not ship orders on weekends or public holidays.

What is your return policy?
We stand behind our products and want you to be satisfied with your purchase which is why we offer free returns within the first 30 days from the day your order is delivered. Stock up your kitchen, test the products and if you're not happy, send it back! No questions asked. We can issue returns only to the original form of payment.
Knives Et Cetera has a Limited Lifetime Guarantee for our knives against manufacturing defects in material and construction and to perform as advertised when properly used and maintained. The Limited Lifetime Guarantee is non-transferable and does not extend to normal signs of wear, rust, damage or breakage due to improper use (dropping, cutting hard surfaces, prying, etc.), improper maintenance, accidents, or loss or theft.

What kind of steel do you use for your knives?
An ultra sharp 10Cr15C (with a specialized vacuum heat-treatment which upgrades performance) super steel cutting core at 62+ Rockwell ensures extraordinary performance and edge retention. The interior steel is sandwiched between 66 layers of premium high-carbon SAE 316L stainless steel, resulting in exceptional strength, durability and edge retention.
What is Damascus Steel?
Damascus Steel - as in the modern meaning of pattern-welded design - is made by laminating different alloys of metal and then folding the billet to exponentiate the layers, making them thinner. Different patterns are formed by grinding out parts of the billet and then re-flattening everything while forging.
The resulting visible pattern may be easily visible, as with steel/nickel billets. Or, it can appear through careful polishing, not unlike a Hamon sword, for example in low/high carbon billets. High Carbon/Stainless Steel Billets sometimes use some kind of etching, bead blasting or abrasives to bring out the contrast in materials.
Traditional Damascus Steel is made from Wootz Steel.
Where are your knives made?
We use premium materials from different locations (for example, Knives use raw steel similar spec to VG 10 from Japan, our stands use Acacia wood from Australia, and our handles are made of Pakka Wood from Spain; originally developed in Ancient Egypt circa 14th century BCE). Our knives are painstakingly assembled by expert blade smiths in a state-of-the-art facility within YangJiang, China (a city renowned for knife crafting for nearly 1500 years). The blades are heat treated, cold-rolled and annealed to reveal the layered pattern.
Expert knife makers trained in traditional knife craft painstakingly hand-polish and hand-finishing the blades and handles under strict guidelines using the 3-step Honbazuke method. The Honbazuke method originates from traditional Japanese knife production where the blade is sharpened and polished by hand in three careful stages:
- The blade is first coarsely ground using a vertically rotating sharpening stone,
- followed by a fine honing utilizing a horizontally rotating sharpening stone.
- The edge is then polished using a leather stropping block for scalpel-like sharpness.
This is married with high-tech processes such as cryo tempering which improves the steels crystalline structure (making them stronger). We are thus able to achieve exceptional quality but keep the costs of our knives lower for our customers. We offer unparalleled quality AND support at pure value pricing.
Japanese knives made in Japan are overpriced! If these were produced in Japan the costs would be five times higher. Our Chinese factory proudly stands head and shoulders above all others in YiangJiang, as our artisans (and lead foreman specifically) are on a personal mission to prove to the world Chinese quality can also be world-class.

How often should I sharpen my knife?
How often you need to sharpen your knife depends on how often you use it! At a minimum, we'd suggest 1-2 times a year.
How should I clean my knives?
We highly recommend washing your knives by hand with soap and warm water and drying immediately afterwards. Please do not put your knives in the dishwasher. Dishwashers can dull or even damage knife blades and handles.
How should I store my knives?
Please don't store your knives unprotected in a drawer! Other items in the drawer can damage the edge and the knife itself could injure wayward hands reaching in. Magnetic strips, knife blocks, knife trays, and blade guards all have their advantages, and we’d suggest choosing the one that works best for you.
